I think the debate went well, in the sense that both sides were prepared and were able to do what was necessary of the assignment. I feel that I did not perform up to standard; I was prepared with research and I don't usually have problems with speaking to audiences-as in presenting assignments and such-but I guess I'm just not used to debates seeing as how I've never participated in one. I think I performed my strongest in researching the topic and my poorest in actually delivering my assigned parts in the debate. If I could change anything, I would probably change my confidence level. For the next round, I will concentrate on effectively delivering my assigned parts and presenting strong arguments. I think the rubric covers all main points necessary.

- Resolved: the United States has a moral obligation to promote democratic ideals in other nations.
